As soon as I did include its MAC address, I was able to complete registration. Navigate to the ClearOS webgui, IP SETTINGS, Edit the ppp0 and untick the "Automatic DNS Servers" button. I realise software updates weren't going to be released after whatever date it was, but I observed that the dynamic IP updates continued working so assumed they would go on forever. From any other PC, I can ping the COS machine, and any other website in the world. All of which makes me wonder if Clear hasn't dropped support for the Clark boxes in more ways than one? how do I delete / cancel / deactivate / de-register these? With this server hardware, I've put ClearOS 5.2 as my gateway, relegating my D-Link DGL-4500 to a wireless hot-spot from its former router position.
